“Timeless traditions of Russian school together with braveness to try new things and be creative. A true Artist and a great musician I'm always thrilled to work with.”
I was very pleased to get invited and to play at
West Virginia State University, both, in recital and accompanying the Charleston Chamber Orchestra, wonderfully conducted by Maestro Scott Woodard.
Thank you for the opportunity to know the excellent level of your orchestra and, also, for the chance to represent the Romanian violin school, very well sustained by my former student in Bucharest, Mr. Cristian Fatu.
Together, we successfully joined with Maestro Woodard for the outstanding performance we had in Charleston. Here’s hoping for many future collaborations
and concerts together.

"With Maestro Woodard on the podium, there is an electric atmosphere between orchestra and conductor. From the first notes of rehearsal, to the final applause in the concert hall, Maestro Woodard brings his passion for music-making at full speed. With inciteful interpretations and an exquisite ear for detail, Maestro Woodard always leaves audiences and musicians calling for more!"
JOE TACKETT

"Scott Woodard has kept the local music scene flourishing by not only leading ensembles to performance but by commissioning new works to give our community a voice in the musical world."
MATTHEW JACKFERT
COMPOSER - ASCAP
"Scott Woodard is a conductor with a strong vision which breathes life into the score. He encourages the players to open up and play with each other."
"I have enjoyed working with Dr. Woodard because of his clarity of vision, not only in his interpretive skills and knowledgeable historical background of each score he conducts but also his wielding of the baton. Each gesture clearly shows his musical intent, expression, and direction. Allowing the musicians to perform with their individual passions he is able to bring the orchestra together as an organic unit because of this ability."

"I had the opportunity to work with Scott Woodard in 2016 when he assisted me with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. I find him to be very kind, intelligent and well spoken artist with true dedication to the future of classical music."
"Dr. Woodard's fine conducting technique and intelligent approach to the score brings the best out of musicians, whether they are students or professionals. His passion for music and his decisiveness as a leader are very noteworthy qualities I, as a concertmaster, value greatly.
